Since tomorrow is October 1st I can't stop thinking about how I am going to decorate for Halloween this year. I wish I had the talent to make these lace carved pumpkins from MarthaStewart.com, but I don't nor do I have the patience. Maybe one day if I get really bored I will attempt a small one for the kitchen table.

I went to the spa this weekend with my mom, and they had water with fresh sliced lemons in one of these infusinon jars. It was so pretty, it was just the inspiration I needed to find one. The looks alone are enough to make me want to drink more water. I hoping I get one of these for the holidays!

Right now I would love to visti Block Island or Martha's Vineyard. I love the small town feel in the middle of the fall. Riding a bike along the streets as leaves fall to the ground. It almost feels as if you are all alone. Most of the tourists are gone and all that remain are the locals. Maybe we can go one weekend soon.

Living in a really tiny place requires me to be creative with storage and decoration. Everything needs to work double duty. These boxes from Frippelous shop on Etsy are perfect for storying accessories and filling in space on the ledge that line the middle of my walls. I think they are gorgeous and I love the vintage feel!

This photo from Etsy seller Alicia Bock, brings me back to a time when people actually sent letters in the mail. Not email, but regular old United States Parcel Service. I know that when I open my mailbox to a letter, or present, I become giddy like a little kid. Maybe we all need that in our lives. I think I might try and send one letter out per week, to make someone else's day. Maybe I will even invest in a vintage typewriter so my letters will have a little flair!

Elegant Hallway Spice

We just painted our tiny hallway and laid new flooring, and although it is a bit cramped it needs some personal style. I hate when things are drab. I would love to have a few of these in my hallway with some unique prints or photos. These are over at Etsy by seller Olive Someday! These are fabulous. I will lust after this until next paycheck.

Fun Desert

I know we are approaching the last day of summer, but I can't help to love these sherbet cones for a backyard picnic. They remind me of the dog days of summer when we were all kids, yet they are appropriate for adults. I can't wait to serve these up!

Breathless Elegance

This ring leaves me breathless. I love that it looks like something I could have made at home. I don't know why I like that fact. This ring is right up my alley. I just wish it was in my budget, but its not at $435. Maybe I can find a look for less.

Elegant Invites For Some Destination Fun!

Planning a destination wedding seems like a lot of fun to me. Further more once I saw these wickedly fun invitations from CeCi New York my mind started working overtime on all of the fabulous things you could do on a destination wedding...plus I could probably actually afford to give out picnic baskets, because there would be far fewer guests. The mind is starting to work over time.

Pastel Elegance...Beautifully Delicate

For as long as I can remember I had a love affair with Gerber Daisies. When I was a little girl I had a pot of them sitting in each window of my bedroom. It was only natural that I envisioned them in every part of my wedding. Now however, I still love them, and I love them in my garden and in my home as a part of my everyday life, but I have lost the need to have them in my wedding. They have been a staple at every wedding I have attended in the past 2 years. I normally don't have a need to be original but they no longer seem special to me. I am not sure what the flowers are in the above picture, but I LOVE THEM. I think these will be my new loves. They are beautifully delicate but unique, elegant but fun.

Lovely, Elegant Eats!

This vintage picnic basket has inspired a whole new meaning to out of town wedding guests. I would love to put together picnic baskets of local goodies for out of town wedding guests to enjoy. I think I might have to buy this picnic basket for myself from PicnicFun.com. How excited would you be, if you received a picnic basket at a wedding, rather than a bag? I am overcome with excitement!

Looking For Simplicity Against The Norm

I think most girls dream of fancy wedding dresses. Me, I want something simple. I don't want any beading, and I don't want a train. This dress by JCrew is purely simple. Although I don't think this is my dream dress. The simplicity of it all expresses the feel I am going for. On a side note, I absolutely LOVE that it has pockets. All dresses should come with pockets.

At Peace Each and Every Day

Since I am not yet ready to take the giant leap into the reception world. I will continue to dream of what I want my world to look like. I want a simple building where things can be easily tailored for each couple. A unique place for vows to be exchanged and a small intimate dining area for intimate affairs or rehearsal dinners. The photo above by Parker J Pfister depicts the feel I want to achieve for each day. Peace in love and life each and every day.

Beautiful & Unique

I am not married, I am not even engaged, yet I find beauty, the pure beauty when two people decide to share their lives together. Ultimately I would like to share in the most special moments of peoples lives. I want to open and operate a wedding reception hall that allows people to come together in love and lets each couple express their true unique identity. I want each couple to feel like their wedding is their own, not part of a cookie cutter society. I want each person to have the ability to afford the wedding of their dreams. I want people to come back to a time where the wedding once again becomes about coming together, and not about the frills. A wedding can still be beautiful and filled with details without consuming the person as a whole. I want each person and each moment to be beautiful & unique.
